TEC Academy 2011
We are pleased to announce that TECC will be running a
TECC
Academy
with the responsibility for identifying, selecting and developing the next
generation of cricketers for the TECC 1st Team and hopefully beyond
into 1st Class and International Cricket.
The Academy led
by TECC Director of Cricket Dave Gelling (Gellars)
together with
support from
TECC and HCBCA Coaches will deliver a unique, high quality
six-month programme designed to meet individual needs focusing on Technical,
Tactical, Physical, Psychological and Lifestyle requirements.
Starting up, the TECC
Academy
for 2011 will be open to Junior Cricketers between the ages of fourteen and
sixteen. These Junior Cricketers will be identified and invited to an open
session in January and put through a thorough selection process.
Thereafter
the Academy Indoor Sessions will run on the following
Saturday afternoons
at the Totton Sports
College following a dynamic training and development programme designed by Billy
and Gellers.
Saturday's 19th February - 26th February - 5th March
- 12th March
In addition the development programme will embrace Lifestyle
Management and Nutrition with a seminar presented by Will
Lawless (Head of Lifestyle Management and Nutrition at Totton
College).
Following this the development programme will further embrace
the Laws of Cricket with a seminar presented by Phil Green
(SEPCL Umpire).
These seminars will be mid-week with dates to be
confirmed and held at the Totton Sports club,
the home of TECC.
