Hyde vs. Totton & Eling
Report supplied by Steve Cummings
Match report 08/07/10
After our last 2 games we needed a confidence boosting win, and our match this week took us in to the wilds of the forest.
Eventually when we all showed up. {Excusing the ones who followed the correct instructions} Hyde won the toss and elected to bat.
Straight away after a Churchillan team talk the attitude was spot on, lead by our skipper. Rory and wicky,Will.
Hyde wickets tumbled on a good batting track and after a fantastic all round bowling performance we reduced them to 67 for 8 after 18 overs.
I have not been able to pick out individual bowling performances as all 8 produced great figures
All that was left was to knock off these runs in a sensible manner and in our top order batsmen that was no trouble, only losing 2 wickets with Ollie h scoring 23.Rory 17 and Ollie m 17.
Even Hyde were glad we won as that meant they had help bringing in their square barriers. Well done to all parents and lads who helped..Good fun!!!.
Steve.
