Banksy and Dessie hit tons as 1st's beat Lymington

Following last weeks solid win, the First Team completely outplayed Lymington in Week 2 at Lymington CC to win by 148 runs in a rain interrupted game. Dibbo won the toss and elected to bat and after losing Archie early doors, Banksy and Dessie took the game away from Lymington with two tremendous knocks in a partnership of 236 for the second wicket, Banksy hitting a stylish 125 in 85 balls (15 fours/5 sixes) with a 145.35 S/r and Dessie hitting a typical Dessie innings of 105 in 101 balls (15 fours) with a 103.96 S/r. Shu hit a cameo 60 from 45 balls to to ensure we ended on 359 for 9 from our 50 overs which is a Southern League record.

With the rain becoming heavier between innings and time being lost, Lymington were set 268 from 30 over's. Dibbo opened with the pace and aggression of Billy and the subtle turn from Dave. After completing both their stints the game was more or less over with Billy taking his first wickets for the club with 3 for 33 and the again impressive Dave with 5 for 41. Franky and Westy chipped in to bowl Lymington out for 119 from 29 overs ensuring we returned to Southern Gardens with maximum points.
