Just to let you know that the nets are ready for use if you fancy having a hit over the Easter break.

£10 deposit for the key – Over 16’s only – Junior players must be accompanied with an adult.

 

Please make every effort to get along to Ground Force Day this Sunday!

 

Training start next Tuesday…

 

·         Pre-season training; There is no indoor training on Easter Sunday – training now switches to every Tue (5th) & Thur (7th) evenings from 6pm throughout the month of April.

·         Ground Force Day – Sunday 3rd April: Please come and help us prepare the ground for the forthcoming season. Arriving from 9.30am – Refreshments & t-shirt for the helpers – Glorious sunshine guarantied! – All boxed off by 1.30pm to watch Leicester v Saints!!

·         Quiz Night: Fantastic night had by all with a not to be sniffed at £220-50 raised for our colts section! Huge thank you to ‘MC’ Carts and & his glamorous assistant Needles for hosting & providing all the entertainment.

·         Ladies Day: New for 2016 we will be hosting a Ladies luncheon on Sunday 24th July (2pm) during the course of the girls “T20 day” between Hants, Staffs & Wales.

·         U19’s T20 competition: Fantastic new competition for our talented U19’s starts this summer (fixtures TBC). Details attached.

·         New 4th XI Ground: We are delighted to announce confirmation of a new home ground venue for the 4th XI at Turn Pike Lane, Hedge End. Special thanks to Graham Elliot for helping to pull the strings!

·         T&E Cricket Club: Check out our new road sign on the Ringwood Rd turning… (Pic attached)

·         U11’s: We still require a U11 manager…! Can you help? If so contact Adam or Mandy

·         Membership fees will remain the same as last year with a new Direct Debit option being introduced. Details and forms to follow…

·         Tour Matches: x3 tour games booked in so far Thur. 14th April (3pm – T20) / Mon 9th May (12.30pm – 35 ov’s) /  Thur 2nd June (12.30pm – 35 ov’s)

·         Roller Club: Pre-season rolling of the square will soon be underway  and willing volunteers are required. Full training (over 18’s) and safety equipment will  be provided. This is a key job particularly at this time of year so let me know if you can spare a few hours for the club.

·         Overseas Player: Get your thinking heads on chaps, do you have any fresh ideas or contacts you can use?

·         Player News: Very positive response from within the club and over 60 names on the squad lists to date but do not stop the recruitment drive, there is still 6 weeks before the start of the league season and plenty can happen in that time! To coin a phrase….  “We March On!”
